EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) is a lightweight, rigid, closed cell insulation and is one of the primary materials used for insulation in the construction sector. This closed cell structure provides exceptional durability and thermal insulation properties, and minimal thermal
conductivity and water absorption.

Because of its excellent physical properties, EPS is also commonly used as a backfilling solution known as Geofoam, and as a void filler to reduce volumes of concrete and dead-weight.

Notable applications include wall/floor insulation, core material/insulation for EIFS, void filling, and packaging.

EPS is available in several compressive strengths to withstand load and back-fill forces.
